Our mini West-Asia tour is coming to a close but before we head home from Kathmandu, we will spend a night in Bangkok and then half a day in Singapore. We scored these tickets with 25k United miles each. Definitely a great use of miles as this routing would’ve cost as over $700 each.
We had an awesome time in Nepal and it has definitely moved up to one of our favorite countries..

As soon as we get to Bangkok, we decided that taking a taxi was the best way to our hotel, Glow Trinity Silom. I was debating on wether to book the Conrad Bangkok since it’s part of the Hilton brand and I would get elite benefits but since we were only spending the night, decided to go with the cheaper option.
We also met a teenager from Switzerland in the taxi queue. Feeling friendly and wanting to save money, we chatted her up and offered to split the cab ride which she agreed to. After less than an hour, we bid her safe travels and arrive at our hotel..
The hotel was very nice and the staff super friendly. After dropping our bags, we headed out to explore the night life in Bangkok.

We’re firm believers that in order to experience the true essence of a foreign city, you have to try the local cuisine especially the street food! We went on a street food spree and tried a lot of new stuff!

We then saw ads pointing to a Muay Thai fight which was very entertaining to say the least!

After the fight, we decided to do some last-minute night market shopping before heading back to the hotel.
We scheduled a taxi pickup thru the hotel early in the morning to bring us back to the airport. We arrived pretty early and had time to explore the BKK airport. Soon enougj, we were off to Singapore!

Since we had half a day to spend in Singapore, we originally planned to meet up with one of our high school friends, Joy. Unfortunately, this didn’t work out and we just ended up taking the metro to the nearby Expo. Killed some time there and soon enough we were boarding our Singapore Airlines flight back to Manila.
Since we’ve already been to both Thailand and Singapore before, it was nice going there for a quick visit. Although, Phuket is still our favorite destination in Thailand, it was amazing experience the sights and sounds of Bangkok at night.
Just like that, our second mini-asian tour comes to an end. Until next time!
