Rambi and I toured Cebu and Bohol last Tuesday. Our 4:00AM flight turned out to be a good thing, we learned through concerned text messsages from family that due to the horrible weather, all flights in Manila got cancelled a few hours after we left. Good thing everyone we know is safe. The weather was so nice in Cebu and Bohol it was difficult to imagine what it was like in Manila.

Our room wasn’t ready yet, so we took a walk around the vicinity. We visited a few accessible historic marks like Magellan’s Cross and Basilica del Sto. Nino. Had too much fun walking that a few moments later, we were already strolling through Cebu City’s ghetto parts. The good part is we scored some good siomai and siopao. We also saw a store where 100mL shampoo bottles were sold at P300.00 and 60mL facial wash bottles were priced at P16.00. Or maybe we just read that wrong.
We went back to our room a couple of hours later, and just coming from a 4AM flight with no sleep (’cause we spent our entire Monday in Greenhills), we slept from morning until around 3:30 in the afternoon. LOL. So much for having at least 6 sites on our To-Visit List. We decided to head to Ayala Mall to look for a few stuff before meeting up with my darling, Agnes in Casa Verde for dinner. Had a great time catching up with Agnes, who’s now addicted to salads and working out. So imagine how great she looks. ;p She took us to a very nice and relaxing drinking place, (I forget where) where we also got to meet her boyfriend, Ron.

Had to end the drinking session around 1:00AM ’cause Agnes and Ron have to leave for Boracay the next day, while Bi and I have to be at Pier 1 at 5:00AM to catch the first boat to Tubigon, Bohol.

Our driver Kuya Arnel picked us up at Tubigon Port and to start off our Bohol Tour, our first stop was Sagbayan Peak, where Rambi developed a strange fascination for taking pictures with huge animal statues.

Our second stop was EAT Danao for some fear factor goodness. We did a 45 meter free fall then a canyon swing over a 200 meter high and 300 meter wide gorge. It was amaaazing.
Viewed the Chocolate Hills from high up.

Visited the Butterfly Farm too. Our guide, Jeffrey was H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S.

We missed the Loboc River Lunch Cruise, so that sucked a bit. But it was all good since we got to admire the river from the Hanging Bridge anyway and we saw the Buko King live. Visited Tarsiers, George the Monkey, Prony the Python, the famous Marimar of Bohol Island, then off to the Blood Compact site.

Visited Baclayon Church and made a quick stop at the local mall before retiring in Alona Beach in Panglao Is. No pics of our Lost Horizon room, we were too tired from the tour. But we did have a quick dip in the pool, had island barbecue for dinner and listened to a live band while we drank beers.
We took the Sea Tour the next day starting at 6:00AM. We got a nice view of the elusive dolphins, it was pretty hard to take pictures of ’em though. We went snorkeling in Balicasag, the underwater scene was extremely beautiful, we’re so excited to go scuba diving next week. After snorkeling we had lunch on the island and it was the best tasting calamares and liempo evarrr. Virgin Island was our next stop, there was a bit of trash scattered here and there so it was more like Raped Island na. 😦

By this time, the camera was already low on battery. And I’m so smart ’cause I forgot to bring the charger. Pero battery life’s not bad huh? Then again, we’re kinda lazy when it comes to taking photos. After our Island tour, we pretty much slept throughout the entire afternoon. We woke up just after sundown, had dinner by the beach again and watched bands and drank beer. The next day, we’re headed for Manila. 😦
While enjoying our last minutes in Panglao Island, we had warm Milo and pandesal and cheesy scrambled eggs for breakfast. Good food, nice view of the ocean, the love of your life. Simple, yet meaningful.
Kuya Arnel picked us up again and drove us to Tagbilaran Airport, we said our goodbyes, checked in, waited a while, boarded the plane and it was gooooood byyyeeee, Bohol.
