Batam, Indonesia

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Turi Beach in Batam, Indonesia. They serve cold ginger drinks on arrival. Divine.

Sorry bout the roof. But those are some nice roofs, huh?

Indonesia wasn’t originally part of the plan but since we were only an hour away, might as well pass by. Friends staying in SG suggested we check out Bintan instead of Batam because there was hardly anything to do in the latter. Unfortunately, ferries from Bintan don’t leave until 8AM Indonesian time, an hour behind Singapore time, which means we’re gonna miss our flight the next day. So Batam it is.

The best part of Batam, apart from the rich, red soil and the big-ass lizards crossing the roads.

And just like that, Indonesia was over, almost as fast as this entry was written. Maybe Bintan next time?
