Venice, Italy

Me and my good friend Steve decided to go on day trip to Venice one Saturday. Fortunately, our base, Aviano, is in the Northeast part of Italy and is about an hour away from Venice. We took a train from Pordenone straight to Venice. The train cost 12 euro and was about an hour long each way. Once we got off we grabbed a quick bite and then proceeded to explore. We did not have a map or did any research but surprisingly, most of the tourist spots in Venice were close to each other. We got to see the gondolas and water taxis in action as well as visit the Rialto bridge and San Marco’s square. All in all, a nice short trip to satisfy our travel appetite!
