Verona, Italy.

Verona is a beautiful Italian city about two hours away west of Aviano. My friends initially just wanted to watch a medieval show but we ended up doing a full day tour of the city.

We left Aviano bright and early and headed to the town center where we saw Verona’s version of the Coliseum as well as visit the famous Casa de Julieta.

After snapping our mandatory picture of touching Juliet’s private parts, we quickly found a spot in the middle of town to grab lunch. I would usually prefer to eat somewhere further away from the city-center since it’s much more inexpensive and authentic but we were all really hungry and decided to splurge.

After lunch, we headed to Caneva World, home of the Aquapark and Medival Times Show. Since summer was almost over, the place was packed but we still had a great time with all the slides and the wave pool.

The Aquapark closed at about 6pm so we decided to visit a local mall to kill some time before the medieval show. We got to the show at around 9pm.

The show featured the typical medieval story were knights fight for the right to marry the King’s daughter. It was highly entertaining (with the help of lotsa beer and wine!) and we heartily cheered for our knight as we gorged on a medieval feast!

The show ended pretty late and it was time to head home. The trip was a great introduction to Verona and I’m definitely looking forward to exploring the city more.

Here are some more pictures of the trip!
