Roadtrip: Republic of San Marino.

After Florence, our next stop was the Republic of San Marino. It was about a three-hour long drive to this small small country located in the north-east part of Italy. Honestly, I didn’t expect much out of this small country but was intrigued to see what it had to offer. San Marino town is situated on top of the mountain which provided very scenic views. After eating dinner, we headed to the city center and the castle towers.

There are three main castle towers and it was an adventure trekking through the uneven pathways with little to no lighting. This made it much more fun as everything felt authentic and it seemed like we were transported to a different time.

We managed to see all three castle towers and decided to head back down to explore the town some more.

It was around 7 pm when we decided to drive back home. And after three hours, and a pitstop at a McDonald’s in Bologna, we were back.

All in all, it was an amazing weekend roadtrip with amazing people. Can’t wait for our next adventure!
