Amankila: Peaceful Hill

The third day of our Bali honeymoon took us to Amankila. This amazing resort is situated in a peaceful cliff-side setting in Manggis, Bali.

As usual our private transfer from Amandari was seamless and we got to Amankila a little after lunch. The staff warmly welcomed us to our villa.

One of the things we wanted to do in Bali was SCUBA dive and figured this was the perfect place to do our first night dive. We arranged this with Aman and as usual everything went great!

After dinner, we went ahead and got our massages from the resort spa. Once again, Aman went above and beyond and kept the spa open to accommodate us. We got really sleepy afterwards and decided to call it a night after our massages. The next day, we woke up early to enjoy the beach and the beach club!

Our next activity would take us biking along East Bali. It was raining pretty hard and the staff warned us about the weather but we didn’t want to pass up the opportunity. It was pouring the whole afternoon but it just made everything more exciting!

We really can’t say enough good things about how Aman accommodated all our requests. They allowed us to keep our rooms until 5pm! They even provided us with shoes and socks for the bike trip since we didn’t bring any.

After we got back, we packed our bags and got ready to check out. We had a great chat with one of the Aman managers and they gave us our Hindu bracelets as we said goodbye.

Sadly, it was time to leave this amazing property. Our driver packed our belongings as he drove us to our next hotel.

All in all, our stay with Amanresorts is something we will never forget. There were plenty of times the staff went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. From the moment the private immigration officer welcomed us to Bali to when the Amankila manager gave us our Hindu bracelets, everything was perfect. We’ve read plenty of reviews about the amazing service that people get while staying with Aman but it was a surreal experiencing everything first hand.

Stay tuned for more!
