Another weekend, another European adventure. This weekend would take us to the French Riviera where we will have short visits to Nice, France and Monte Carlo, Monaco!
Like with most of our trips, it started when I was playing around with Skyscanner.net. The website has a nice feature where you can enter dates as well as home airport and leave the destination field blank. It will then search for the cheapest flights available on your dates. Well in this case, one of the cheaper options was Nice, France and since it was so close to Monaco, a country we haven’t been to yet, it was a no-brainer to book the cheap flight.
We booked flights with European low-cost carrier Ryanair. My friends from work found out about our trip and they asked if they could join. One of our travel goals is to get as many people as possible to travel with us so this was a win-win. Long story short, I ended up booking for 10 people. This was gonna be fun!

Finally the day came. After we work, we all headed out to Venice Marco Polo to board our flight. It only took one hour to get to our destination. We proceeded to get our rental cars and headed to our hotel for the night, Comte De Nice. It was pretty nice and fit within our budget. We dropped our bags off to explore the town. We ended up in Old Town Nice where we had a nice dinner at one of the street restos. After exploring some more, we decided to call it a night since we had a big day the next day.

We actually woke up late the next day and hustled to get breakfast and check-out. We went back to Old Town Nice but unfortunately it was raining. That didn’t stop us as we still explored that part of town. We went to a couple of art galleries and enjoyed the morning markets. After grabbing a quick lunch, it was time to head off to our next destination, Monaco! Stay tuned!
