Gotta love Ryanair.
This low-cost airline connects most of Europe with cheap no-frill flights. Most flights are below 100 euro and this time, we snagged tickets to Alghero, Sardinia!
Sardinia or the Kingdom of Sardinia is an autonomous state of Italy which is known for it’s beautiful beaches among other attractions.
We booked our accommodations at Camping Village Laguna Blu which is located in Fertilia. It was our first time staying in a camping village and we were pleasantly surprised. Aside from being a lot cheaper than the alternatives, the place was really clean and provided everything we’d need.

We ended up having a much needed relaxing getaway–much different from our fast-paced travel style. We just lounged in the camping village bar and wandered the streets of Fertilia and Alghero.

On our second day, we took a panoramic hop-on hop-off bus that took us around the northern part of the island. Unfortunately, the area’s most famous attraction, Neptune’s Grotto was closed.

For our last night, we made reservations at an art resto in Alghero where we had paella and other seafood.

Overall, a very relaxing weekend getaway!
