After my long day in Cairo, it was time to start the journey to my destination, Manila. My routing would take me from Cairo to Beijing and then to Manila. First flight is with Egypt Air. Got some much needed sleep on the flight but here are some pics..

After we landed in Beijing, I headed straight to the Air China lounge where I killed some more time.

Soon after, it was finally time for my flight home! Like with the rest of my flights in my 10-segment journey, I used most of the air time to sleep and recharge for the next day.

Finally, we landed in MNL. After getting past immigration pretty quickly, I waited for my luggage. and waited. and waited. They weren’t there! After talking to the baggage agents, I was informed that they’ve lost my bags. It was definitely a hassle but the good thing was I had my clothes for the wedding in my carry-on. This was important because the wedding was in less than 10 hours! I filed my lost baggage report, hoped for the best and headed home.
Finally it was time for the wedding! The main reason I took this crazy trip. It was nice catching up with long time friends. We’ve known the groom for about 20 years so it was definitely nice to be part of their special day. We partied until the wee hours of the morning.

I woke up about 2-hours layter with a massive hangover. We had a quick breakfast, bid farewell to our friends and headed back to Manila were we had a lunch date with Rac’s grandmother. Afterwards, we headed straight to Outback Steakhouse to witness one of the view things which I haven’t done. Watch a Pacquiao Fight live on pay per view in Manila! It was a crazy atmosphere as everyone was cheering for the hometown champ. Pacquiao was fighting Bradley and he punished him the whole fight.

After the fight, we headed straight to Greenhills shopping center for some last minute shopping. In my opinion, the Philippines has the best and cheapest shopping of anywhere in the world. It also helps to know the local language to haggle more effectively of course!

We went back to the house to spend some much needed quality time with the family. Again, we drank until the wee hours of the morning.

After getting a couple of hours to sleep, I finalized packing my bags and headed to the airport. This was my shortest visit home but it was definitely worth it. Spent some time with good friends and family. Can’t wait til next time. Next stop, Dubai!
