Summer is almost here and that meant we wanted to spend our long weekend at the beach. We’ve heard great things about this island named Pag in Croatia so we figured it would be worth it to go and check it out.
It’s about a 5-6 hour drive from Aviano Italy, including the 20 minute ferry ride that took us to Pag from mainland Croatia. The costs 150 Kuna and would take our car to the island.

For our accommodations, I used airbnb.com, an up and coming website that lists houses and apartments in most places in the world. It was my first time using the site and I was pleasantly surprised how competitive the prices were compared to sites like hotelscombined or agoda.com.

It was still off-season in Pag so there were not a lot of tourists in the island. This was perfect as we just wanted to relax the whole weekend. Usually, we’re busy sightseeing and fitting as many activities in our tight schedule as possible so this was a nice change of pace.

Our 2-bedroom apartment was located in Old Town Pag. We also explored Novalja and Zrce Beach among other places. Prices in the island were a bit cheaper than most cities in Europe. We ate like kings throughout our stay as we explored what the island had to offer. In Zrce beach, we ended up renting jet-skis and did some wakeboarding.

The island of Pag is famous for it’s cheese so on our last day, we went to an award-winning cheese factory for a taste test and a tour of their factory.

On the long drive home, we stopped by in Trieste for some late dinner before finally heading home.
Here are the rest of the pictures!
