Conrad Algarve, Portugal.

The last stop in our European adventure is Portugal!

Portugal was not part of our original itinerary but Rac pointed out that since we were already in Spain, might as well figure out a way to visit Portugal. It was also a chance to try out the famous Conrad Algarve. We have been staying in Conrad Hotels in countries that have them and this particular one in Algarve had outstanding reviews.

Since we were only staying in the resort for one day, our goal was to maximize what the hotel had to offer. We figured we’d just go back to Lisbon to see more of Portugal next time.

Conrad Algarve was about a two hour drive from Seville. Upon arrival, one could not help but marvel at the grandeur of the property.

We checked-in and were offered welcome drinks. Since we were hungry and our room was not yet ready, we decided to visit the shopping center right across the Conrad for some lunch.

When we got back, our rooms were ready and the concierge walked us up to check it out. As an elite, we got upgraded to the King pool view room.

We boarded the shuttle back and proceeded to check out the pool and spa areas. It is worth noting that the spa amenities Conrad Algarve offers is top notch. The heated chairs, private infinity pool and cold and hot showers were really nice. But our favorite had to be the “experience showers” where you can choose from Caribbean Storm or Swedish Massage.

After our relaxing time at the spa, we got ready for our dinner reservations in Gusto Restaurant by the world-famous Heinz Beck. We were in for a treat as we were going to do the 7-course tasting menu.

After our amazing dinner, we tried out the cocktail experience, another HHonor Elite benefit. The resident bartender taught us how to make home made Martinis!

After cocktail experience, we headed back to the room to catch some rest. Overall, this Conrad definitely ranks up there. The resort is immaculate and the service we received from all the staff was top notch. Our experience in Gusto restaurant definitely put it over the top. Cannot wait to go back for a longer stay!
