For our short visit in Paris, we decided to splurge a little bit and use some of our hotel points to stay at the Paris Hyatt Vendome. One night in this 5-star hotel runs about 1000 euros so we felt that it would be an awesome value for our points. The location of the hotel was perfect as it was only a couple of blocks from the Louvre. Check-in was a breeze and from there we were offered some welcome drinks. Everyone we interacted with that worked in the hotel was top notch.
We just booked a regular room and was pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of champagne and some pastries waiting for us. The room was simple yet elegant. For hotel amenities, I decided to try out the spa where I used the hot tub and had some tea. We also visited the hotel bar for some snacks and drinks before calling it a night.
The next day, we checked out and left our luggage with the concierge until later that day.
Overall, the hotel was elegant and was situated in a nice location. Though I must say that while the service was attentive, it was spotty at times. Granted, we were only staying for one night but for a hotel that charges 1000 euros a night, you’d expect more.
All in all, It was just nice to check off one of the aspirational properties we wanted to stay at and we thank our hotel points for that! The hotel really provided a dose of luxury that we were looking for!
