Loving the Island Life in Seychelles!

And finally, after 2 years of planning we were off to Seychelles!

Seychelles was definitely different from any other trip we’ve taken. We’ve been so used to “flashpacking” because of our tight schedules so it was a nice change of pace to have nothing planned and just relax. It was an adventure to drive in the left side of the road as well but with Seychelles being so small, it was really easy to get familiar with the roads and we constantly ventured in impromptu roadtrips to find a new beach or restaurant.

But before we reach paradise, we had long flights that would take us to Austria, Ethiopia and eventually Seychelles!

In our short layover in Austria, I used my loungeclub card to get free access to the “AIRLounge”.

The next flights were with Ethiopian Air..

Before we get to the Hilton Northolme Resort, we booked 2 nights at this amazing property called Sailfish Villas. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised to see how nice the villas are!

The next day, we decided to rent a small car and visited the capital city of Victoria.

One can easily drive around the island in a couple of hours so we spent a lot of our time just driving around and stopping where we feel like it. One of the nice spots we found was this waterfall.

Since it would be a shame to just stay in the island of Mahe, we decided to book a boat tour that would take us to nearby islands for the day. The trip included our lunch as well as snorkeling gear. It was a blast boating with Ian and Ryan!

It was just awesome to lounge around the beach and not worry about anything. Both the country and its people were beautiful and if lucky enough, we would love to go back!
