Our stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town was definitely another highlight of this trip. We planned on staying at the Hilton Cape Town City Center but since it was fully booked, I booked this hotel instead for 20k Hilton Honor points a night. Since our experience in this hotel was top-notch, I figured that it was worth its own post and hotel review!
The hotel is located about 10 minutes away from the city center in the old industrial area of Cape Town. Upon check-in, we were informed that we were upgraded to a better room. We didn’t think much of this as this was pretty standard for being a Hilton Gold.
When we got to the room though, we got really excited as they upgraded us to a loft suite at the top floor! Talk about an amazing value for 20k points a night! We even had a great view of Table Mountain!
The service throughout our stay was top notch as well. They even have a free shuttle that brings guests to the famous V&A Waterfront.
Breakfast was free for Gold members and it was a pretty good spread especially for a DoubleTree.
Overall, an amazing stay at this property. This hotel is a hidden gem as most travelers would opt for the Hilton property in the city center but for half the price, DoubleTree is definitely worth it. Our upgrade to a loft suite was definitely awesome as well and really set the tone for our epic visit to Cape Town!
