Day three.
From our Airbnb in Valbonne, we drove to Cannes, and had the best breakfast at The Promenade de la Croisette. We hit a few luxury shops before heading to Port de Cannes. Little brother surprised me by buying an LV wallet for me. Wow. This was fast becoming the best day ever.
From the Port, we took a twenty minute ferry ride to Île Sainte-Marguerite, an island famous for Fort Royal, a fortress prison that held the Man in the Iron Mask.
We spent a couple of hours exploring the island. While waiting for the ferry that would take us back to Port de Cannes, Rambi stepped on some fresh dog poop. This is information that would be pivotal in a future post.
We explored the rest of Cannes on foot, stepping into two cafés to experience more French pastries. We also stopped by the market to pick up a few items, as we wanted to take advantage of our kitchen.
Back at the Airbnb, Rambi and Karen got busy making a steak and shrimp dinner for us.
The rest of the night was spent relaxing as we had big plans for the following day.
