Another tour in South Korea means another visit to the Demilitarized Zone or DMZ.
From our tour pamphlet, “The Korean Demilitarized Zone is a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a buffer zone between North and South Korea which runs along the 38th parallel. The DMZ cuts the Korean Peninsula roughly in half. The north side of DMZ is the Democratic People‟s Republic of Korea, also known as North Korea and the south side is the Republic of Korea, also known as South Korea.”
We ended up visiting the Imingjak Resort Park, DMZ Tunnel, Mt. Dora Train Station and lastly, the Joint Security Area.
