Aside from traveling anywhere and everywhere, one of our guilty pleasures as a family is staying in new hotels. Sometimes, its just nice to sit back, relax, watch tv and order room service.
We try to stick with Hilton and Hyatt hotels so we can get Elite benefits for being Diamond members. This weekend, we decided to try out the Conrad in Seoul, South Korea. While my favorite hotel brand is Park Hyatt, Rac’s favorite is Conrad. We’ve been lucky enough to stay at a few of them. Singapore, Maldives, Bali & Algarve, Portugal as the most recent ones.
Upon checking in, we were informed that we’ve been upgraded to a deluxe room. The real bonus though is the Executive Lounge access that they gave us. Here’s the room..
Executive Lounges can be hit or miss depending on the property and this was definitely a hit! The food selection and quality was amazing. We both agreed that this is by far the best Hilton lounge we’ve been to.
As with tradition, we had to try out the swimming pool. We also checked out the rest of the hotel.
The next morning, it was time for breakfast! The setting was very nicely decorated. They even offered egg, pancake and soup stations. Gotta love Asian breakfast buffets!
Another plus is the hotel location. The hotel was connected to the IFC Mall. Score!
Overall, a solid Conrad property. Compared to our stay in Park Hyatt Seoul, I’ll give Park Hyatt a slight edge because the rooms were more modern and the views from the room and infinity pool are amazing. As for the Executive Lounge and breakfast spread, Conrad wins hands down. Can’t wait for our next hotel stay!
