It was time to part ways with Rac’s sisters as we continued our vacation. This time, we were headed to Queenstown, New Zealand!
After a quick 4 hour flight, we took a short cab ride to get to our hotel, Doubletree by Hilton Queenstown. We also ended up staying the Hilton Queenstown and will write a separate post about those two properties.
The Hilton provided free shuttle service to the city proper. There we explored the city by trying one of their most famous dishes, roasted lamb.. Yum!
We also visited Stratosfare for a traditional Haka show. We had to take a gondola to get up there so it also provided great views of the whole city. We were also able to try the Luge!
After the show, we explored more of the city, ate some more and bought souvenirs for our families.
For the next day, we booked a Milford Sound tour which we’ll cover in another post. Overall, would definitely love to go back to Queenstown!
