San Salvador, El Salvador.

It was time to fly Avianca and our first stop in Central America is El Salvador!

It was a short 5-hour flight from LA. It took us awhile to get our visas issued but we got it sorted out. The visas cost us $10 each. We were then greeted by our guide, Roberto who owns El Salvador Custom Tours. First, we headed to the beach to get some breakfast.

We then got some much needed rest at his B&B. After lunch it was time for our tour! Frist stop, the San Salvador Volcano.

Next stop was Joya De Ceren where we learned about some Ancient Mayan Ruins.

Our last stop was Santa Tecla City where we had some authentic El Salvadorian snacks and explored the city.

Finally, it was time to head back to the airport. Roberto was a great guide and we talked about possible trips in the future since our visit was so short. Can’t wait to go back!
