For our stay in San Juan, we booked the iconic, Caribe Hilton.
Room: 7/10. The room is pretty basic, but provided a great view of the pool and ocean.
Amenities: 9/10. The beach and pool area is perfect for families. There are also multiple dining options within the resort area. We tried Morton’s Steakhouse as well as the other restaurants in the hotel. For the free breakfast as HHonors elites, we were given vouchers which we could redeem in many of the restaurants. This was a first for us and although different, we liked that we had different breakfast options. It also didn’t hurt the this hotel was the birthplace of the Pinacolada!
Location: 9/10. The location of the hotel is top-notch. It has a private beach area that is perfect for lounging around. It is also close to the airport as well as amazing areas like Old San Juan.
Overall Value: 8/10. At $170 a night, plus $45 in resort fees and taxes, the hotel provides good value. The pool and beach area are tough to beat especially being so close to many San Juan attractions. For a relaxing stay in PR, this resort is highly recommended!
