From Toronto, we needed to get all the way to Hawaii. None of the award flights worked so we started looking for other options when we stumbled upon some amazing First Class fares! At around $500 per person, these First Class fares were a bargain for 13 hours of flying! Our routing would take us from Toronto to Washington and then a 10 hour flight to Hawaii on United’s 767-300. Here’s a quick review!
Ground Service: 7/10. After a quick flight from Toronto, we used the United lounge in Washington to relax as we boarded our next flight.
Seat: 8/10. United offered lie-flat seats for the IAD-HNL leg. The seat was very comfortable, and all three of us arrived in Hawaii refreshed!
Amenities: 7/10. The Saks Fifth Avenue beddings we’re a nice touch. They also gave us slippers but not a full amenity kit.
Food: 7/10. Food as expected was meh. Domestic first class, even transcons really pales in comparison with International first.
Service: 7/10. Service was consistent but nothing special.
