Another weekend, another country. This week is pretty special as we’d be visiting our 99th country, Cyprus!
Was worried about renting a car and driving on the left side of the road but after we saw how much transportation was going to be to visit different parts of the country, we decided to bite the bullet.
We got there in the wee hours of the morning so we decided to kill time and drive to Akrotiri Royal Air Base, a British Military base in Cyprus.
After that, we visited one of the many beaches on our way to Nicosia.
After checking in our hotel, we went and walked around Nicosia and visited the National Museum.
That night, we crossed over to the Turkish side of the country for some food as well as a traditional Turkish bath.
Overall, a short but amazing stay in Cyprus. Definitely planning to go back!
On our way back to Germany, our flights got delayed so after arriving in Bulgaria, we found out that we missed our connection so we had to find a new way back. More to come!
